Just Peck
February 1 7:00pm
Who is high school sophomore Michael Peck? Is he a model son? A band geek? A science nerd? No, he's just Peck, a 5-foot-2, skinny, 104-pound weakling whom no one notices until he meets Emily, a beautiful and popular senior, who befriends the awkward boy. When Peck's overbearing power parents force him to compete in the school science fair, he risks becoming even more of a social outcast. But Peck has a brilliant plan: he'll create a project so outrageous it will rock the school and get even with his parents. And maybe, just maybe, he won't be just Peck to Emily anymore.

At the end of WWII, 60 minutes of raw film, having sat undisturbed in an East German archive, was discovered. Shot by the Nazis in Warsaw in May 1942, and labeled simply "Ghetto," this footage quickly became a resource for historians seeking an authentic record of the Warsaw Ghetto. However, the later discovery of a long-missing reel complicated earlier readings of the footage. This film is of enormous import, documenting some of the worst horrors of our time and exposing the efforts of its perpetrators to propel their agenda and cast it in a favorable light.
In this beautiful movie about the end of the world, Justine and Michael are celebrating their marriage at a sumptuous party in the home of her sister Claire, and brother-in-law John. Despite Claire’s best efforts, the wedding is a fiasco, with family tensions mounting and relationships fraying. Meanwhile, a planet called Melancholia is heading directly towards Earth in this psychological disaster film.
